Director's Guild Awards nominations for 2024 have been announced; you guessed it, Barbie and Oppenheimer are again going head to head. Greta Gerwig and Christopher Nolan are joined by Yorgos Lanthimos for Poor Things, Alexander Payne for The Holdovers, and Martin Scorsese for Killers of The Flower Moon in the Outstanding Directorial Achievement In Theatrical Feature Film category. In the Michael Apted Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in First-Time Theatrical Feature Film category, Cord Jefferson for American Fiction will duke it out with Manuela Martelli for Chile '76, Noora Niasari for Shayda, A.V.
