Like ABC's Once Upon A Time and NBC's Grimm, CBS All Access and Kevin Williamson (Dawson's Creek, Scream) are hoping that Williamson's dark take on classic fairy tales Tell Me A Story ends "happily ever after" with a long series run. The psychological thriller received a straight-to-series from The Eye Network's streaming service; with Williamson set to write the series, and executive produce with Kapital Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor (as reported by Deadline: Hollywood).

Tell Me a Story takes the world's most beloved fairy tales and re-imagines them as a dark and twisted psychological thriller. Set in modern day New York City, the first season of this serialized drama interweaves The Three Little Pigs, Little Red Riding Hood, and Jack and the Beanstalk into an epic and subversive tale of love, loss, greed, revenge, and murder.

Created by Marcos Osorio Vidal, Gustavo Malajovich and Hernan Goldfrid; and produced by Gonzalo Cilley and Andres Tovar of Resonant, Tell Me a Story originally aired on Spanish television network Antena tres. You can watch an English-subtitled trailer for the original series here:

CBS All Access has been actively announcing several additions to their programming slate over the past few months. Tell Me a Story joins a roster of original content that also includes: Star Trek: Discovery, The Good Fight and No Activity; with the upcoming $1, Strange Angel and a Twilight Zone reboot moved to development.

CBS' streaming service marks Williamson's (The Following) first series outing outside of "The Big Four" (ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox) after a lengthy contractual agreement with Warner Bros. TV; and where he would be responsible for series such as The Vampire Diaries, Stalker, The Secret Circle and Time After Time.

Along with shopping Tell Me a Story to CBS All Access, Kapital also has a second season of Santa Clarita Diet coming up on Netflix; and Widow, which was just ordered to pilot by YouTube Red.
