It seems that in the intervening year the creative team has been shaken up a bit, as Del Toro is now set to co-direct the film with Mark Gustafson Grimly will remain onboard as executive producer.
Gustafson already has a good reputation for stop motion, having been the animation director on Wes Anderson's Fantastic Mr Fox[...]
