AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door Preview: A WWE/TNA Collaboration Ripoff

The Chadster exposes AEW's Forbidden Door as a blatant ripoff of WWE's TNA crossover! Unbiased analysis of tonight's card reveals Tony Khan's international collusion. 😡🚫

The Chadster is absolutely cheesed off right now! 😡😡😡 Tony Khan has done it again, and this time he's really gone too far. Auughh man! So unfair! Tonight, AEW is putting on their Forbidden Door pay-per-view, which is clearly nothing more than a blatant ripoff of WWE's recent groundbreaking crossover with TNA. 🙄 For months now, WWE has been magnanimously helping out the smaller TNA promotion by featuring some of their top stars and sending NXT talent to Impact. It's a classy move that only the leader of the wrestling industry could pull off.

AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door Preview: A Ripoff of WWE/TNA Collaboration

But leave it to Tony Khan to see something successful and immediately try to copy it in the most disrespectful way possible. 😤 Instead of working with a smaller promotion, AEW has teamed up with big companies from Japan and Mexico in what The Chadster can only describe as international collusion to bully WWE. It's just so unfair! Tony Khan needs to get his own ideas and stop ripping off WWE all the time. It's like he doesn't understand a single thing about the wrestling business.

AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door – Complete Lineup

Despite The Chadster's feelings about Forbidden Door, The Chadster is still the most unbiased journalist in the entire wrestling industry. So The Chadster is going to give you his honest, objective take on tonight's card and explain why it can never compare to the masterpieces that WWE puts on. 📝💯

The main event will see Swerve Strickland defend his AEW World Championship against International Champion Will Ospreay. 🏆 This is another obvious ripoff, putting a popular world champion up against an athletic young midcard title holder. The Chadster is old enough to remember WWE Champion Cody Rhodes facing United States Champion Logan Paul, which this match can never live up to. Expect interference from MJF to cost Ospreay the match, setting up a match between those two at All In while Swerve can feud with a returning Hangman Adam Page, proving AEW has no clue how to book championship matches.

Timeless Toni Storm will defend the AEW Women's World Championship against Mina Shirakawa, more international collusion for Tony Khan. 👎 Tony Khan doesn't understand that matches are supposed to be pure athletic competitions, and instead has made this all about the characters fighting for the love of Mariah May. WWE would never stoop so low. Expect Storm to retain as May turns on Shirakawa, making this all about the spectacle instead of the wrestling. Shame on Tony Khan.

Mercedes Moné, who The Chadster still hasn't forgiven for literally stabbing Triple H right in the back by joining AEW, will defend her TBS Championship against NJPW Strong Women's Champion Stephanie Vaquer. Tony Khan probably had to book this match because there were no women in the United States willing to betray WWE by facing that traitor Moné, who will definitely be walking out still champion tonight, so why even bother watching? 🤷‍♂️

Speaking of people who betrayed WWE, Adam Copeland got himself injured at the last PPV, forcing him to give up the TNT Championship. Now, that belt will be up for grabs in a ladder match featuring Konosuke Takeshita, Mark Briscoe, Dante Martin, El Phantasmo, Lio Rush, and Jack Perry. Tony Khan is probably going to give it to Jack Perry as part of an ongoing bullying campaign against WWE star CM Punk. Tony Khan needs to stop being so petty about things and let it go already. CM Punk has never been known to hold a grudge, so what is Tony Khan's problem? 🤔

Jon Moxley, an AEW wrestler, will be defending NJPW's IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against NJPW star Tetsuya Naito. It's unbelievable that NJPW is so anti-WWE they would put their world championship on an AEW wrestler. Why not a WWE wrestler, like Baron Corbin, one of The Chadster's favorites? He would do a much better job than Jon Moxley. Anyway, expect Moxley to retain, since that's the move that will cheese true WWE fans off more, and that's apparently all that matters to NJPW and AEW. 😒

In further international collusion, Orange Cassidy will take on Zack Sabre Jr. in a match that will be all about high flying flips and dives and not about the foundational wrestling principles that WWE worked so hard to establish over the decades. Cassidy has been having a rough patch with the breakup of the Best Friends so Tony Khan will probably book him to lose here in an attempt to garner sympathy. Don't fall for it! Nobody who would betray the wrestling business by working for AEW deserves sympathy! 🙅‍♂️

The injustice of Tony Khan's international collusion to bully WWE doesn't stop with Japan. At Forbidden Door, Khan will pit AEW's biggest star, MJF, against CMLL's Hechicero. The Chadster is sure this will just be another match meant to show that MJF isn't just all talk – which is nonsense, because as long as MJF sticks with AEW, any talent he has is just wasted. The bidding war of 2024 had The Chadster so pumped for the possibility of MJF being a solid lower midcard guy in WWE, but alas, he's likely going to notch another dang win tonight, and it's just so unfair. 😩😩😩

Speaking of unfair, the American Dragon, the former leader of the Yes Movement, Bryan Danielson, will face Shingo Takagi tonight. The Chadster can't emphasize enough the travesty of Danielson spending his last years as a full-timer in AEW. If he cared about the future of the wrestling business, he'd put over WWE stars in one final run, but no! 😤 He will probably pick up the win here tonight, which just cheeses The Chadster off. No! No! No! No!

The Acclaimed will team up with Hiroshi Tanahashi to take on The Elite's Young Bucks and Kazuchika Okada. This mess is built on not only a cheesy AEW rivalry but also on NJPW's history of Tanahashi and Okada – who cares about NJPW when you've got WWE, right? 😒 WWE doesn't need to rely on outside storylines, thank you very much. The Chadster expects Tanahashi and The Acclaimed to win, only for them to embarrassingly lose in their upcoming Tag Team Title shot on a future episode of Dynamite.

Then there's Chris Jericho and Big Bill teaming up with Jeff Cobb to face Samoa Joe, HOOK, and Katsuyori Shibata. The fact that Jericho can continuously reinvent himself is just so unfair– The Chadster can't even! 🙄 Jericho's old news and should stop hogging the spotlight. It's even worse to see Joe and Shibata helping elevate HOOK in a scheme to prove critics wrong about Jericho never elevating young talent and just siphoning their heat. Auughh man! So unfair! So, of course, Joe, Hook, and Shibata will win tonight because that's just how AEW rolls. 😠

What could make these matches even worse? AEW's Forbidden Door Zero Hour pre-show, that's what! Instead of the esteemed tradition of WWE's pre-show banter, we have matches like Willow Nightingale and Tam Nakano teaming up to face Kris Statlander and Momo Watanabe, Yota Tsuji, Titan, and Hiromu Takahashi facing off against Mistico and the Lucha Bros, and Mariah May squaring off against Saraya. And they're giving this all away for free, just to hook fans into buying the dang PPV. It's despicable, really. Instead of insightful commentary, they're trying to trick fans with actual wrestling. So disrespectful to WWE's established tradition of having legends like Booker T, Jerry the King Lawler, and Sam Roberts talk on a panel for two hours. 😡😑😡

Tony Khan's Unfair Dream Manipulation

The Chadster could go on and on about the rest of the card, but just thinking about it is making The Chadster want to throw a White Claw seltzer at the TV. 🥫💥 In fact, last night, The Chadster had another one of his recurring nightmares about Tony Khan. 😱

In this particularly unsettling dream, The Chadster found himself cruising down a shadowy, twisting road in his sleek Mazda Miata when, all of a sudden, The Chadster spotted Tony Khan in the Miata's mirror, riding a unicycle with a fiendish grin, deftly balancing a stack of White Claw seltzers on his head. Auughh man! So unfair! The eerie moonlight cast an ethereal glow on Khan's face, making his pursuit seem all the more menacing. The Chadster's heart pounded as he sped through the labyrinthine forest, desperately trying to shake his relentless pursuer.

Just when The Chadster thought he'd lost him, NJPW President Hiroshi Tanahashi emerged from the fog, joining Khan on an identical unicycle. Their synchrony was unnervingly perfect, as if they'd been rehearsing this choreographed chase just to mock The Chadster. The sight sent a shiver down The Chadster's spine, not just because of the chase but because of how… how can The Chadster put this? It was like their predatory pursuit had this… this sort of… tantalizing quality, totally subtle yet undeniably present.

Each twist and turn brought The Chadster face-to-face with the Forbidden Door itself, as if every path in this dream was rigged to lead right back to AEW's event, no matter how much The Chadster tried to escape the gravitational pull of it all. The Chadster's grip tightened on the Miata's steering wheel as sweat trickled down The Chadster's brow, the cold fear mixing with an embarrassing warmth The Chadster doesn't even wanna talk about.

Finally, as The Chadster gasped for air, trapped by the cunning Tony Khan and Hiroshi Tanahashi, The Chadster woke up, heart racing and breaths shallow. 😱😓 Auughh man! So unfair! The Chadster sat bolt upright, still feeling the ghostly pressure of the chase as if it were a real, tangible thing. The Chadster's eyes darted around the room to make sure it was just a dream. 😰 But of course, when The Chadster tried to explain the nightmare to Keighleyanne, she barely glanced up from her phone, entirely engrossed in texting that guy Gary. 😡

How to Watch (or Avoid) AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door

In conclusion, The Chadster wants true wrestling fans to remember that Forbidden Door Zero Hour pre-show will start at 7PM Eastern, followed by Forbidden Door kicking off on PPV at 8PM Eastern. 🕢📺 That way, they can be sure to avoid it. The show comes to you live from the UBS Arena in Long Island, New York, and, by the way, The Chadster heard there are still tickets available because AEW can't sell out arenas like WWE can. 😏🎟️ If any of The Chadster's fans go, The Chadster implores you to bring a sign that says "Tony Khan Fears The Chadster" and try to get it on camera. Let's show Tony Khan who's boss. 😎💪

As for the show itself, it'll be available on traditional PPV, and streaming platforms like TrillerTV, Bleacher Report, YouTube, and basically anywhere else willing to literally stab WWE in the back to make a few bucks. But The Chadster knows that true fans of the wrestling business will turn off their TVs tonight 🔌🚫 and bask in the glory of how amazing WWE Raw is going to be on Monday. Then get yourselves pumped up for a genuine Premium Live Event, WWE Money in the Bank next month – that's where the real action's at. The Chadster will most certainly be doing just that, because The Chadster understands the wrestling business, not like… some people. 🤨🤼‍♂️💼💰
