"Prodigal Son" Season 1 "Death's Door": Bright & Edrisa Bond Over Formaldehyde [PREVIEW]
So heading into this week's episode of FOX's Prodigal Son, Dr. Whitly (Michael Sheen) is taking a turn for the worse after that whole "stabbing" thing – the one Jessica (Bellamy Young) will face a murder charge for if he dies.
Because she stabbed him – except she actually didn't.
She admitted to stabbing him to cover for Bright (Tom Payne) – who's already had more than enough issues with the NYPD and Internal Affairs.
Which brings us to the following preview for this week's "Death's Door" – which actually has nothing to do with that storyline.
Instead, an interesting case brings Bright and Gil (Lou Diamond Phillips) to Edrisa (Keiko Agena) to see what her findings on the victim's corpse can tell them about the killer… and for Bright and Edrisa to geek-out over the history of preserving things and formaldehyde.
Of couse, the clues to the killer lead to a convention for funeral home folk – which to no one's surprise just happens to fit in Edrisa's "interest wheelhouse"… so guess who joins the case?
"Prodigal Son" season 1, episode 15 "Death's Door": When a body is found professionally preserved and embalmed, the NYPD teams up with Edrisa to go undercover at a convention of funeral directors. While there, they discover their top suspects – morticians Tilda (guest star Ana Gasteyer) and Dev (guest star Sathya Sridharan) – who used to be in business with the victim. Then, enter the mind of a serial killer as Martin revisits his past through a series of hallucinations.
