To wrap up the story properly, the season's writers were given a larger episode order to work with (with the season split into two, seven-episode half-seasons). Interesting that the season premiere teaser (I can't believe we have to wait until 2021) focuses on Ainsley and Martin aka Dr Whitly aka "The Surgeon" (Michael Sheen), giving us the impression that the father/son focus will now shift to a father/daughter one I'm just not convinced yet that the show can sustain itself on[...]

FOX's Prodigal Son is back next week, with Dr. Whitly and Bright staging a last-minute family reunion to address a deadly old danger.

So FOX's Prodigal Son isn't exactly pulling its punches (though "need to stab" would be more appropriate) as it builds towards its season finale. Clearly,

Yes, there were multiple homicides; Martin (Michael Sheen) couldn't help but manipulate his family; while Jessica (Bellamy Young) continued to work on a plan to destroy her husband's very essence. Bright (Tom Payne) is reunited with an old friend and had a cathartic moment gaining insight and resolution into his trust issues, while also realizing that[...]

Meanwhile, Martin blackmails Jessica, exchanging his silence about who stabbed him for more quality time with his son. Getting super geared up for the return of FOX's Prodigal Son, with Bright (Tom Payne) and the NYPD finding themselves facing another "unique" case: a robbery in broad daylight by a motorcycle gang, tons of insurance money[...]

He refuses to enter the hospital room, while Ainsley (Halston Sage) plays the role of supportive and caring daughter, never leaving Martin's side. Jessica is adamant about protecting her son, and continues to push that she stabbed Martin Bright begs her to change her mind, and Ainsley urges her to get a good criminal attorney –[...]

Then, enter the mind of a serial killer as Martin revisits his past through a series of hallucinations. While knocking on deaths door, Dr Whitly will start to hallucinate, who, what and where? Will we get a glimpse in to the inner victim workings and the precision of a serial killer and possibly the dead haunting[...]

With only one more episode of FOX's Prodigal Son to go before the break, will we see Martin (Michael Sheen) and where is Paul (Michael Raymond-James)? Have the FBI caught up to him?  It's apparent that Bright's hallucination will continue to get worse until he locates the "girl in the box" so what dark path[...]

Jude Weng directed the episode, written by John Enbom & Kit Boss Ravi and Liv find themselves in a sticky situation trapped in Martin's (Bill Wise) basement with someone about to come downstairs.  The only way to escape is through the cell housing the zombie prisoner who have been trained to follow Martin's orders.  Lucky for[...]
