Ten More Things I Learnt At NYCC
1. Brian Azarello and Eduardo Risso may be working on a new project. Sadly, not called 101 Bullets.
2. Brian Bendis and Michal Van Oeming are taking a wee break from Powers for a light'n'brighty all ages creator owned series from Marvel Icon, called Takio with what it seems is a young sibling super hero title. Remnants of Power Pack perhaps? Powers Pack? Val Staples on colour…
3. James Robinson may possibly be writing a Hawkman series.
4. Brian Bendis and Alex Maleev have been working in the background on a new Moon Knight series – which will thankfully not impede the publication of Scarlet. Bendis says he was given a challenge to come up with a new reinterpretation of the character with a hook hat hasn't been done before…
5. At San Diego Marvel teased the Crossgen logo but nothing more. At NYCC we saw a little Sigil and Muse and the news that Boom! Editor-In-Chief and ex-CrossGenner Mark Waid would be writing a new CrossGen project.
6. Brian Wood and Ryan Kelly are giving us a New York Five sequel from Vertigo.
7. Spider-Man editor Steve Wacker auditioned for the part of Spider-Man in the Broadway stage musical. And while he may not have got the part, he was captured gloriously on video. And, announced at NYCC, Marvel.com will be serialising it, in pieces, week after week…
8. People really want CrossGen badges/buttons.
9. Dan Buckley can be a bad ass when Marvel Q&As turn sour.
10. Marvel are doing something with some kind of Americn sport publication thing. I'd be more specific but… seriously, people were cheering and booing and I was as mystified as an American being told the rules of cricket.
