Three New Books From Image – Capn BKLYN, Alpha Girl, Eat Kill – And The Return Of Some Favourites
Another day, another set of new comics from Image creators., announced at the Image panel at New York Comic Con this morning. Sorry for the delay, Javits $70 wi-fi is terrible and I've only just got back to the hotel…
Anyway, Jean-Paul Bonjour is launching a new comic book from Image, Alpha Girl. A world where cosmetic treatments have turned all women into crazed man-eating zombies, with one seventeen year old punk rocker immune to the sickness.
And yes, from this description, it does seem rather loaded with social sexual messages. He's French, folk, okay? The book is drawn by Robert Love (Number 13) and comes out in February.
Then we have Cap'n Bklyn by Jimmy Palmiotti, Frank Tieri, Amanda Conner and Paul Mounts about a family man in Brooklyn who gains superpowers from the gunk in the Guanas canal. But his powers, don't exactly help his life. And adults only Pro-style book, coming out in May.
And then there is Epic Kill by Raffaele Ienco, described as "a little like Kill Bill."
Then returning to Image, we have David Hine and Shaky Kane's Bulletproof Coffin Disinterred, a seqel to last year's series, a return to Nancy In Hell, this time Nancy In Hell On Earth and images from previously announced Joshua Luna's debut solo work, Whispers.
