Starlight, The New… Something From Mark Millar And Millarworld

StarlightLogo

Mark Millar's publishing imprint Millarworld has applied to register the trademark for the word "Starlight".

It is registered to cover "Comic books; Comic magazines; Comics; Graphic novels; illustrated fiction stories; posters; trading cards; coffee-table books featuring science fiction, horror, fantasy, action, mystery, adventure, humor, and/or super-powered or costumed heroes or villains; none of the foregoing relating to sports, music, or musical bands".

That latter clause may be to avoid the back-and-forths that Jupiter's Children/Legacy attracted.

So is this a new comic? Or a name for something else – usually when Mark Millar registers a comic book trademark, the artist is a co-registrant. But he did say;

TOP-SECRET NEW MILLARWORLD PROJECT… announced in January. I just sent a bunch of pals the lettered first issue and the art is a sight to behold. This is definitely one of the best-drawn books my name has been attached to and you know I have very high standards when it comes to artistic partners. This guy is so, so good. You'll hear everything at the end of the first week in January plus the insane line-up of artists we have planned for the launch of the Millarworld Universe in Spring.

Unlikely anything to do with Starlight Express though, but it makes a pretty visual. And maybe I just really want to see Mark Millar on roller skates.

Could this be announced at Image Expo?
