Marvel is using new geotargeting advertising methods to tell people where their nearest comic store is.

You know those ads that tell you how a month in your specific area has discovered a simple secret to lose weight that doctors don't want you to know and you can develop it working from home?

Well imagine that, but with comic shops.

Marvel e-mails, social media posts, advertising partners like CBR and Newsarama will reach millions of prospective readers, and will give information about comic stores in the area wherever someone is reading them, with location, opening hours and phone numbers.

The ads will be first seen with Marvel's spring launches including X-Men Gold and Secret Empire. You know, the comic about America being taken over by an all-powerful government that knows exactly what you are doing at any time. And where your nearest comic shop is…
