Here is the synopsis for the episode:
Shelter From the Storm
REIGN SETS HER SIGHTS ON RUBY — When Reign (Odette Annable) starts hunting Ruby (guest star Emma Tremblay), Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and Alex (Chyler Leigh) work together to keep her safe. Supergirl and J'onn (David Harewood) look to Sam's mother (guest star Betty Buckley) for advice on how to stop Reign and come away with some shocking news. Antonio Negret directed the episode with story by Robert Rovner and teleplay by Lindsay Gelfand & Allison Weintraub (#318). Original airdate 5/14/2018.
The synopsis talks about "shocking news" when J'onn and Kara visit Sam's mom Patricia, but it looks like part of that news is that she's been drawing Reign's symbol for a long time. And where I like the reveal of the symbol, I'm not buying she was able to peel up that wallpaper so easily… wallpaper never comes up that easily. We know that Reign goes after Ruby, but it's hard to figure out just where they are. It looks like some kind of archive for old books and paintings. But why would they be there? And it looks like Mon-El is carrying a backpack when he arrives. Is that Ruby's, or something to play on Reign's emotions? And that shot below with Reign not wearing her mask… she looks scarier there than with the mask.
Supergirl airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on the CW with 'Shelter from the Storm' set to air May 14th.
