Marvel's Agents of SHIELD: Will They Tie in to Avengers: Infinity War?
With Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War hitting theaters this week, the question has come up on how Marvel's Agents of SHIELD will address the events in the film. In season 1 the entire series changed when Captain America: The Winter Soldier premiered. They did clean up after Thor: The Dark World and have made mention of the Sokovia Accords brought up in Captain America: Civil War.

With the film opening Friday, the series acknowledged what was going on by having Tony 'Candyman' Caine (Jake Busey) reference, "all the weird stuff happening in New York." But the team had their own issues with an alien ship over the Lighthouse. But it won't end there.
Adrian Pasdar was talking to TVLine about the rest of the season for General Glen Talbot, and the ties to Infinity War came up:
Yeah, we do have stuff in the background periodically that references and ties into whats going on with Avengers: Infinity War. Yeah, they use that. They always tie in very well with what's going on [in the movies].
Pasdar didn't get specific for a very interesting reason… he hadn't seen Infinity War yet.
I was invited to the premiere and I just couldn't make it. I just don't get out as much as people think I do," explained he who has voiced Tony Stark/Iron Man in a variety of animated projects. "I feel like a vegetarian butcher — I work in the business, but I don't sample the food!
The ending of Infinity War is pretty dramatic and could have a huge effect on the remainder of the season. I won't get into details, but with the series still on the renewal bubble, how it handles the tie-in could not only effect the finale, which the producers have promised will be satisfying to fans if it's the end of the series, but would also complicate a sixth season if the show gets one. The downside of "It's all connected".
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs Fridays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
