Marvel Preview Reveals Rogue is Secret Daughter of Professor X and Lilandra

In Mr. and Mrs. X, by Kelly Thompson and Oscar Bazaldua, newlyweds Rogue and Gambit are doing their best to enjoy a honeymoon in space that's gone completely off the rails. But though they should be the ones making babies, it seems that's already been taken care of by two characters who are currently deceased. Or to be more accurate, it was taken care of using their genes by someone else.

Last issue, the mysterious egg that was inside the mysterious package that Kitty Pryde asked Rogue and Gambit to pick up hatched, revealing a doppelganger of Rogue. If you thought that was weird, it's about to get weirder. According to Kitty in this preview or Mr. and Mrs. X #3, the egg contained the genetically engineered child of deceased X-mentor Professor Charles Xavier and deceased former Sh'iar Majestrix Lilandra Nermini. Apparently, looking like Rogue is a psychic defense mechanism.

What are Rogue and Gambit (and Deadpool) going to do about this? And what about The Man Called X? Does being a reincarnated version of yourself in a new body absolve you of paying child support? Check out the preview below (from Comicosity) and pick up Mr. and Mrs. X #3 in stores next Wednesday.

LOVE & MARRIAGE PART 3!
ROGUE and GAMBIT'S romantic getaway is but a faint memory as they're forced to team up with DEADPOOL to protect a dangerous and extremely valuable "package" when half the galaxy comes to claim it. More importantly, can Rogue, Gambit, and Deadpool stop bickering long enough to win?
