When Roy Thomas Went to Meet Stan Lee

Roy Thomas, about to celebrate his 78th birthday, was Stan Lee's first successor as editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics, twenty years his junior. He is possibly best known for introducing Conan the Barbarian to comics, championing the Justice Society of America and writing X-Men and The Avengers, and All-Star Squadron.

When Roy Thomas Went to Meet Stan Lee

This weekend, he reunited with his old boss, at Stan's home in Beverley Hills, photo bombed accompanied by Brooklyn comic book and toy dealer John Cimino. And Cimino shared a photo of the meeting with Bleeding Cool.

Cimino is best known for uncovering a possible inspiration for the look, and name, of Spider-Man – and certainly the first piece of Marvel approved merchandise.

A lot more things regarding Stan Lee look to be coming out in the next few days. Just thought we should lead with this first.
