A Comic Show: Deadpool's 25th VD Special

Aaron Haaland writes,

Hey Fandom! I'm excited for the Deadpool movie this week, Deadpool #7, Spider-man Deadpool #2, and our 25th Anniversary party ( https://www.facebook.com/events/94177… ). Avengers #5 has the perfect generational tension between Ms. Marvel, Nova, Miles and those old guys. Old Man Logan has a great balance of flashbacks to Logan's future and all out action in the present. And Darth Vader continues to entertain past Vader Down.

Batman TMNT #3 is like whoa. I thought this book was front loaded, but every issue has been cover to cover thrills that haven't let up. The last page is a dozy. Batman #49 is trippy, and Paquette's art shines. Harley's Little Black Book #2 has her turning the tables on ladies man Hal Jordan. GLC Edge of Oblivion #2 shows just how high the stakes are in this series. Where last issue I was cheering, this issue I need a grief counselor.

David Walker has a new Shaft #1 out. You may know him from Cyborg, but he made a name for himself for me with his first run on Shaft. I'm looking forward to Walker's Power Man and Iron Fist #1 next week! And just in time for Valentine's Day we have Jonesy #1 by Humphries and Boyle. If you like Scott Pilgrim, Giant Days, or Lumberjanes, check this one out. It's about a school girl who has a secret crush and the ability to make anyone fall in love with anyone else- except her.
