Ever wonder what's behind that "No Trespassing" sign? Well, The Last Broadcast hardcover, from Archaia, an imprint of BOOM! Studios, written by Andre Sirangelo, with art by Gabriel Iumazark, will answer your curiosities. This book is a debut from the creative duo, and is sure to take readers into the dark corners of the world where secrets await to be revealed. The story will transport you to the hidden world of Urban Exploration, and introduce you to the best UrbEx team in San Francisco, Backbone.
When they discover a secret bunker belonging to the long-vanished 1930s stage magician Blackhall the Incredible, a young illusionist receives a mysterious package involving Blackhall's death in 1934. With all of this new information, both groups dive into the mystery unaware that their lives are about to change forever.
This sounds like a unique story filled with tons of mystery and plenty of intrigue. Besides that, the art manages to be incredibly spooky and gloomy from the start. It's said that Iumazark's Brazilian/Japanese-fusion indie art style brings "edgy energy" to every dark corner of the story.
Overall, This is definitely a book that I'd like to pick up since I never got a chance to read it when it was being released as a series. Also, if you're a fan of Thief of Thieves and the film Now You See Me you should definitely consider adding this book to your reading list. The Last Broadcast hardcover collects the complete miniseries, and will release this June.
