Bonus or Typo? Amazing Spider-Man #1 Solicited for 356 Pages with 9 Variant Covers

Marvel has released their July solicitations, which means it's time for the comic book media to scramble to break those solicitations into multiple observational articles for extra clicks. The first thing that jumped out at us, looking through the solicits, was the one for Amazing Spider-Man #1 and #2:

Did you catch that? Apparently, Amazing Spider-Man #1 will weigh in at a massive 356 pages. What kind of backup material can possibly fill a comic that big? Maybe it contains all of Nick Spencer's tweets about the 2016 election? Whatever the case, that's a lot of extra pages for just $5.99. Perhaps it's just a typo, and the book will really be 56 pages? We've reached out to Marvel to find out.

Since we're on the subject, we should probably point out that the first issue has nine variant covers, two of which are drawn by fan-favorite artist TBA, who also provides a variant for issue #2. Will TBA stick around this time, or be replaced at the minute? We'll have to find out.
