Carol Narrowly Avoids a Gwen Stacy Bridge Moment in Next Week's Captain Marvel #3

Captain Marvel is riding higher, further, faster on her incredible box office success, but could she be headed for a big fall? Well, actually, it's She-Hulk that's headed for a fall in this preview of next week's Captain Marvel #3. After coming to the portal where Carol and several other heroes are trapped, Jennifer Walters suddenly loses her Hulk powers, which isn't good considering she's a lot less durable when falling from the sky when not in her hulk form. That leaves Carol to save the day…

But Carol is up on her comic book history, and she knows what happens if you try to catch someone who's falling near a bridge. And the last thing she wants to hear is a "snap."

Fortunately, Carol is clearly superior to Spider-Man, because she manages to make the save.

Not today, at least.

Captain Marvel #3 hits stores on Wednesday.
