C.B. Cebulski Flies Into New York Today To Take Up Position Of Marvel Editor-In-Chief

Ten days ago, Bleeding Cool broke the news that CB Cebulski was to take over the job of Editor-In-Chief of Marvel Comics from Axel Alonso. The only tricky side to that was that CB Cebulski was in China, working for Disney as the Marvel brand representative at the company in that country.

Well, as we speak, he is in the air and flying into New York where he will take up that position.

There is an expectation that his long career as Talent Manager at Marvel will seek to halt the "brain drain" that has hit Marvel Comics hard of late, as well bringing in a new wave of talent that he has been recruiting on his international jaunts. And maybe a few old recognisable names who we haven't seen at Marvel for a while. Of course, he has more immediate concerns….

I mean, c'mon, he's CB. One of my favourite momenta with him was walking round London's Borough Market and heading into the Neal's Yard Cheese Shop.

But he is bringing his work with him…

It's also pretty good timing to have Runaways be such a critical hit on Hulu, a comic that he originally put together and edited back in the day, as well as writing its sequel, The Loners.

Time to give him a warm welcome, folks. And here is how Rob Guillory sees him…
