Comic Sales For 2014 Are Still 12% Over The 2012 Numbers

Reported from the Retailer Lunch at San Diego Comic Con, Diamond Comic Distributors wanted to point out that, while sales may be a little softer in recent months, overall sales are still up 12% on 2012 sales so far.

That the larger story outside of the month-to-month sales is that sales are still up… and that there are more comic stores being opened.

IMG_20140725_202016226Diamond also talked about consolidating Halloween Comicfest – a kind of horrific Free Comic Book Day – to one day this year, rather than a week or a weekend. So it's just Saturday October 25th, so as to have a better marketing potential for Diamond Comic Distributors, as occurs with Free Comic Book Day. And they also promised plenty of promotional activity, including on the television, to promote the event.

Big Bang Feary?
