Donny Cates Is Drawing A King Spawn #1 Cover For Todd McFarlane?

Donny Cates tweeted last night "Just had a rad phone call with Todd McFarlane. Man, my life is awesome sometimes. You guys are in for some amazing stuff!" But what could it be? Well, this listing for an FOC cover for the upcoming King Spawn #1 may reveal all. Or at least reveal what the hell he is talking about.

Donny Cates gets to do a cover of Spawn. This is not his first comic cover. But it seems that his previous one won't be his last, despite all indications to the contrary. Todd is also adding a 1:50 raw Greg Capullo cover and a 1:250 cover by Todd McFarlane signed by Todd himself. No idea what they look like yet, of course, but here's what Donny Cates has given in this field before.

Donny Cates named his first arc on Crossover after a Todd McFarlane phrase "kids like chains", wrote then reinvented Todd's character for Marvel, Venom, with chains, got Todd to do a cover for Crossover, Looks like he is now paying back the favour. I think Donny is ahead on this deal.
