Today's Unstoppable Doom Patrol #7 comes to a stop. It's the seventh and final issue from Dennis Culver and Chris Burnham. And a glorious comic book it has been. There was promise of a spinoff with Robot Man, and Zatanna called Hex And Violence, but things have gone quiet in that direction. Maybe the Knight Terrors version didn't do as well as hoped? Who knows. But today's Doom Patrol does promise something in full James Bond teasing style…
…before giving more of a Marvel Studios post-credit scene as the Candle Maker finds himself somewhere rather familiar, with polari banners flapping in the breeze under an apocalyptic sky.
And finds someone most unexpected waiting for him.

Second series? Second series, anyone? Kathy Kane was the Batwoman from Earth 11, a world with a number of gender swaps, including Aquawoman, Superwoman and Wonderous Man of the Justice Guild. Batwoman was corrupted by Joker Venom after killing the Joker, became The Batwoman Who Laughs, and set off across the Multiverse with her not-Infinity Gauntlet, first appearing in Justice League Incarnate #2 and last seen making her exit from reality in the third issue.
Looks like she ended up on Danny The Street… who welcomes all strays and newcomers. But potentially, The Batwoman Who Laughs may have taken advantage of Danny's good will… Bona to vada, your dolly old eec.
