Exclusive – Warren Ellis, Garth Ennis And Andy Diggle Bring Crime & Espionage To Dynamite In August
Dynamite has sent over the covers and solicitations for their crime & espionage comics coming out this August. I didn't think I'd get to use the word espionage today. These four titles are written by Andy Diggle, Angela Cruickshank, Warren Ellis, Garth Ennis and Ande Parks. That's a pretty impressive list of writers.
This group includes two of my favorite newer series in a while. The collection of Seduction of the Innocent, which is a great period crime drama by Parks and Esteve Polls that stands up well against classic tales like The Black Dahlia and L.A. Confidential. And there is the continuation of the second James Bond story arc by Ellis and Jason Masters. Vargr felt more like classic Ian Fleming than anything we've had in years and I'm guessing Eidolon will continue that.

Washington DC detective Kate Burnham interrupted an assassination attempt. Now the killer is back to finish the job, and he'll let nothing stand in his way – including Kate! The noose is tightening… "With Control, we wanted to write a 100% police procedural, the kind of smart, character-driven, real-world crime drama that rules on TV. It's about sex, power, and systems of control… and how the little guys have to game a system that's rigged against them." – Andy Diggle

EIDOLON, Part Three: Bond is sent to breach a secret base in the depths of England, alone, without back-up, and fully deniable: a place from Cold War history, with only one way in and one way out, while the forces of security services all over the world are seemingly ranged against MI6, and all Bond has is his gun and a few pieces of a bloody, dark puzzle…

SEDUCTION OF THE INNOCENT Trade Paperback
Cover: Francesco Francavilla
Writer: Ande Parks
Art: Esteve Polls
Format: Softcover
Page Count: 104 pages
FBI Agent Thomas Jennings has just arrived in San Francisco, fresh-faced and ready to tackle crime in the big city… but he's not nearly prepared for what he's about to encounter. The city's crime lords are being systematically murdered, and those responsible are the stuff of his nightmares. In a desperate race to end the spree killings and rescue two targeted and helpless children, Jennings will be forced to question every belief he holds dear… and struggle to hold onto his humanity. Gritty, sometimes depraved crime fiction in the tradition of James Elroy, Jim Thompson, and EC-era crime and horror comics, Seduction of the Innocent reunites writer Ande Parks and artist Esteve Polls, the acclaimed creative team that brought you The Death of Zorro and The Lone Ranger.
