Been a good weekend for Greg Pak. He's had two series announced properly at Marvel Comics, Aero and Sword-Master. And at the Boom Studios panel at WonderCon, it was announced that his series Ronin Island with Giannis Milonogiannis, Irma Kniivila and Simon Bowland.
The first issue came out earlier this month, telling the story after a mysterious attack wiped out the major cities of 19th century Japan, Korea, and China, how survivors from all three lands found refuge on a hidden island and built a new society. With Hana, the orphaned daughter of Korean peasants, and Kenichi, son of a great samurai leader, having little in common except for a mutual disdain for the other. These young warriors will have to learn to work together when an army invades the island with shocking news: there is a new Shogun and the Island is expected to pay fealty in exchange for protection from a new enemy…a mutated horde that threatens to wipe out all humanity…
And now there will be more of it.
