IDW Publishing is getting a new logo for its twenty-fifth year of publication in 2024. You can tell because it's got a 25 on it. Which means they will need another one for 2026. Originally founded back in 1999, IDW span out from employees leaving WildStorm, and setting up in San Diego, with 30 Days Of Night by Steve Niles and Ben Templesmith kicking things off, with Locke & Key by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez not far behind, with licenses that have included Doctor Who, Transformers, GI Joe, My Little Pony, Star Wars, Godzilla, Star Trek and more.

"Beginning February 2024, all new IDW comics will feature a new logo crafted by Nate Widick, IDW's Director of Design, which calls back to the publisher's classic logo and celebrates the company's history. IDW's Co-Publisher Tara McCrillis is proud of being surrounded by a team of enthusiastic people who adore comics and knows that will help IDW as it honors the past while paving a new path forward. "Helping IDW celebrate 25 years is a true honor. IDW was started with the passion of a few guys in a small office that loved comics and today we still hold true to that sentiment. IDW is filled with some of the most passionate comics professionals in the industry and it is a pleasure to be able to share space with them and keep IDW moving forward toward the next 25!"

""I'm thrilled to be a part of the next evolution of IDW Publishing," added IDW's Co-Publisher Mark Doyle. "We have some great plans to celebrate the past while building towards the future! We've got an amazing lineup of talent we're working with during this momentous year, from some of the biggest names in comics to new voices who will become the super stars of tomorrow. I'm so excited for fans to read these great stories and learn more about our plans."

"IDW's CEO Davidi Jonas understands the importance of respecting the company's history while working to be a unique presence in the comic industry in the years to come. "Honoring the trailblazing innovators that founded, grew, and solidified IDW as a premier graphic publisher is both right and wise," stated Jonas. "Robbie Robbins and Ted Adams are at the foundation IDW. They deserve our deep appreciation and admiration. And, we look to their example for guidance as we turn the next page to ensure that IDW's next 25 years return to being entrepreneurial, nimble, a fun place to work, to be in relationship with fans, partners, creators, and store owners…to be part of the beauty of the comics community."

"Beginning in 2024, IDW will also be releasing its very own solicits catalog for retailers, fans, and press to get a first-look at what the editorial department has been building for readers. The first edition will release digitally this week and future editions will release both physical and digital versions."
