Industry Moves – Marvel, Oni Press And Titan Comics

Ructions, ructions, ructions… a few hirings and promotions in comics this week.

Titan Comics has headhunted their newest editor Lizzie Kaye from the graphic novel publisher SelfMadeHero. She will head up new graphic novels being adapted into English for the first time, including Sean Phillips science fiction Void, the new comics adaptation of Michael Moorcock's Elric saga, and Snowpiercer with new editions of the works of Philippe Druillet, Enki Bilal, and Regis Loisel in the pipeline.

DC Comics editor Rickey Purdey, not making the move west with 76 other DC staffers, has joined Marvel as Talent Manager, replacing Jeanine Schaefer, who left to join her DC editor husband Mark Doyle on the West Coast.

And over at Oni Press, Charlie Chu has been promoted from Editor to Senior Editor, Robin Herrera from Associate Editor to Editor, and Ari Yarwood from Administrative Assistant to Associate Editor ahead of a bunch of new titles being announced by Marc Guggenheim, Christos & Ruth Gage, Cullen Bunn Jen Van Meter, Drew Moss, Nick Filard, Justin Greenwood, Meredith McClaren, Ben Towle, Scott Kowalchuk, Dennis Culver, Christopher Sebela, Ryan Hill, Rashad Doucet, and Matt Gardner. Should keep them from straying to Burbank…
