Injustice Gods Among Us – Not Quite So Digital First?
Injustice Gods Among Us was the comic book that shouldn't have succeeded the way it did. A spinoff of a computer game it ignited on release, both digitally and in print, and was the real surprise success of the last couple of years. And regularly tops the digital sales every couple of weeks.
When the Injustice Gods Among Us title first returned from hiatus in January, while first digital issue arrived one week prior to the print edition, the second digital installment — which constitutes pages 11-20 of the physical comic — did not arrive for another two weeks – so that was one week after print.
In February, one could have reasonably expected the fourth digital issue to be released this week, a week after the print version – yet ComiXology is bereft of any such thing.
So how can it continue to be called Digital First?
Well, it appears that the digital issues are being made available through the Madefire App before they are made available through the ComiXology or DC's Apps.
ComiXology essentially made Injustice the success story that it is today – but have they now been snubbed for the new shiny shiny digital solution of Madefire?
