Jumps For Price Points On Nightcrawler And Original Sin
A number of titles such as X-Factor and Captain Marvel, previously $2.99 comics, have relaunched at $3.99. So it was a nice surprise for X-Men Legacy, renamed Nightcrawler, to return at a $2.99 price point.
Which lasted all of a week.
Now retailers have been told that it will actually be $3.99.
Original Sin #0, originally solicited at $3.99 will be $4.99.
And the final issue of Wolverine And The X-Men #42 will also rise from $3.99, but will have extra pages, including work from the solicited Nick Bradshaw and Pepe Larraz, and now joined by Ramon Perez, Steve Sanders, Shawn Crystal, Nuno Alves and Chris Bachalo. and a preview of Wolverine And The X-Men #1.NOW. Take a look at the pretty pics below.
Avengers Undercover, Ms Marvel, She Hulk, Loki: Agent Of Asgard all launched at $2.99, and Thunderbolts, Hawkeye and Avengers AI have remained at that price, but Superior Foes Of Spider-Man, Daredevil and Deadpool have jumped in price of late.
I was told by a senior Marvel executive that top selling titles at $2.99 leaves money on the table and leads to a less healthy market for retailers. How long until the last hold outs at Marvel for $2.99 make the jump? And the big books start the rise to $4.99?
