Is Titans Membership Bad for Arsenal? (Red Hood & The Outlaws #17 and Titans #18 Spoilers)

Back in the New 52/Prebirth days of Red Hood & The Outlaws, Roy Harper, Arsenal went up against Waylon Jones, King Croc.

It had a surprising resolution.

And by the next issue of the series, King Croc had become Arsenal's sponsor at Alcoholics Anonymous, going through the 12-step programme.

And Arsenal stayed sober. from then on, thanks to King Croc.

That was until the movements of DC Rebirth – or in Roy Harper's case, DC Relapse.

And in Titans Hunt, leading into Titans Rebirth, Roy Harper fell off the wagon.

And then crashed the wagon.

But in today's Red Hood & The Outlaws #17 we get a catch-up from King Croc, as the series guest-stars Suicide Squad, with King Croc in his post-Suicide Squad movie look. And a Red Hood wanting to get back in touch with his old friend and previous Outlaw…

So King Croc is still supporting Roy Harper. He's not drinking, but it's hard. And, just as we saw in Titans Hunt, it seems his other team members are to blame. And in Titans #18 also out today. And Roy Harper says what he hasn't been saying in previous issues of Titans, when faced with a future version of Donna Troy…

Not that it does much good.

And the future doesn't bear well for how Roy Harper deal with his drugs and alcohol addictions… as long as he stays with Titans that is. Any room back with the Outlaws?

You know, as long as everyone's okay with that.
