National Cartoonists Society Original Art Auction Is Now Live

The National Cartoonists Society Foundation charity art auction is now live and features some pretty interesting items from a variety of well-known creators. Donated items include pieces from Bill Morrison, Bruce Timm, Dan DeCarlo, Dean Yeagle, Stan Sakai, Sergio Aragones and many more. We mentioned this auction back in November, but the items are now up on ebay.

Two of the pieces that caught my eye was this hat donated by Dan DeCarlo and featuring drawings on it by DeCarlo, Jerry Robinson, Mort Walker, Frank Springer and more.

And this drawing of Elric of Melnibone by Dan Brereton.

But there are currently 85 auctions listed for everything from original art, signed prints, memorabilia and even artist proof statues. There are original art pages from My Little Pony, Archie and X-Factor. Some pretty amazing stuff overall and well worth the look.

The National Cartoonists Society Foundation is the charitable arm of the National Cartoonists Society, and was formed in 2005 to continue the charitable and educational works that have been a hallmark of the NCS since its inception in 1946. The National Cartoonists Society Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) charity that works in tandem with the NCS to advance the ideals and standards of the cartooning profession, to stimulate and encourage aspiring cartoonists through scholarships and educational programs, and to provide financial assistance to cartoonists and their families in times of hardship. The Foundation also encourages the active involvement and participation of NCS members in the charitable and educational projects undertaken by the Foundation, thereby utilizing the Society's greatest assets and strengths. The NCS has a treasured tradition of members donating their expertise and talents to good causes in person and through their art.
