No New DC Comics Tomorrow – and One Fewer Image Comic Than You Were Expecting

Tomorrow is New Comic Book Day. Or Long Boxing Day as we like to call it. Comic books on sale will have been delivered last week and held back for sale. But it is notable hat the only DC Comics items new for sale will be collections. No new comic books at all. In comparison, Marvel Comics are using it to launch X-Force #1, Superior Spider-Man #1 and the triple-sized Fantastic Four #5 wedding issue as well as the weekly Uncanny X-Men #7.

And Image Comics will have Die Die Die #6 and Man-Eaters #4. But, peculiarly, Man-Eaters is not a comic book. Oh, it's the right shape and size, with a card cover stock. But inside it's a fashion-styled magazine Cat Fight set in the world of Man-Eaters. But definitely not a comic book.

Dark Horse has Hellboy And BPRD 1956 #2, IDW has Go-Bots #2 and Marvel Action: Avengers #1, Dynamite has Mars Attacks #3 and Boom has Bone Parish #3.

But DC Comics has Batman Beyond Vol 4, Green Arrow Essential Edition: War Of The Clans, Nightwing Vol 7 and Superman Rebirth Deluxe Book 3

Going to make for some interesting charts this week.

There is also a Diamond Comic Distributors delivery to comic stores on Friday with the new Previews…
