A Tragedy For Greek Street With #16
And another one gone. Greek Street by Peter Milligan and Davide Gianfelice from Vertigo has been cancelled. Issue 16 will be its last.
This will give the creators enough time to bring the series about the stories of Greek gods and goddesses retold among the population of modern day Soho to a conclusion and end, naturally, in a greek tragedy.
After the cancellation of Air, Unknown Soldier and now Greek Street, this feels like a bit of an epidemic. Another sign that Vertigo is suffering from undue attention from above. Will people please stop cancelling my favourite comics? Especilly the ones that seemed to have legs!
Here is an illustration from issue 15… you just don't get that kind of thing outside of Vertigo, do you? Not with, you know, taste.
