As Universal Ditch Joe Carnahan's Stretch Just Two Months From Release Watch The Trailer For His New TV Show

Fans of Joe Carnahan's breakout surprise hit The Grey will have to wait a while longer to see his next movie. Indie comedy-actioner Stretch has been dropped by its distributor, Universal Pictures, just two months before it was supposed to be released, according to THR.

The studio dropped the Patrick Wilson-led film from its schedule and has no current plans to give it a new date anytime soon. Meanwhile, producer Jason Blum has been searching for a new distributor, but no luck just yet.

So while Stretch idles and waits for a new release date, Carnahan's work behind the camera can still be enjoyed – on the small screen. He's directed three episodes of NBC's hit new show The Blacklist, and he also directed the pilot of upcoming A&E series Those Who Kill, starring Chloe Sevigny and James D'Arcy as detectives hunting serial killers.

A new three-minute trailer has just been released. Those Who Kill is based on the Danish show of the same name (Den som dræber), and will premiere on A&E on March 3rd. Thanks to Dread Central for the embed.
