Cooperheroes Premiere Hundred Page Giant Hype Sheet For Bleeding Cool Readers
By Nobody Famous cause we can't afford Stan Lee
The Seventies! Blaxploitation! Soul! Glam Rock! Disco! And best of all….comics with quarter cover prices! We can still remember the thrill of discovering comics in that era, like finding an entire lost continent of characters…histories…worlds! Sparks seemed to fly off the spin racks every month as the new books came in.
And there were Giants in those days….hundred page giants!
But something happened on our way to adulthood. The books got stale. Things stopped moving forward. The TV shows and films showed up, but WE felt like the print comics were languishing. Stories that should have had a beginning, middle, and end, were trapped in a middle phase with no further development possible…and no chance of equaling the stories that had gone before, even with bloated "event" stories that overflow longboxes.
And for reasons never made clear, some of the best and brightest talents of the industry were quietly shown the door.
And a lot of readers have taken a walk.
Come back.
We've got Trevor Von Eeden. Mike DeCarlo. David Michelinie. Fred Hembeck. Denys Cowan. Mike Baron. And more…much more. We have the best team of artists and writers committed to this project that we've seen in a quarter century. We got our Dream Team. We also have newcomers. Frank Cooper, the titular man behind the project. Frank's creative vision has to be seen to be believed. He's like a modern Stan Lee. Candice Commelleri brings her fine art sensibilities to colors and inks. Kevin Birge comes in, quill pen in hand, to write tell some great new stories.
One Hundred Pages on newsprint, colors done in the traditional style. Just like the old days, only brand new.
