Does Anyone Care Who Dies In Green Hornet #3?

Seriously, help me out here folks. I'm British. I have no cultural ties to this character. And in the third issue of Kevin Smith's Green Hornet from Dynamic Forces, they're killing off one of the characters. And Dynamite are issuing multiple covers to disguise the reveal.

The PR says "The OPENING pages of this issue will have fans talking for the rest of the year… and beyond!" – but is that true? For someoen like me, I might pick up the series because I enjoy Kevin Smith's writing but two issues in I can't particularly care for any of the characters. Hell, kill the lot as far as I'm concerned, that might be even more interesting.

Can anyone fill me in regarding what I'm missing here?
