Futures End Tops Advance Reorders

Greetings from the coal face of the direct comics market. Where retailers try to increase their orders of certain comics ahead of sale. Where supply and demand and most accurately reflected, where you can see which books are hot, where new orders are coming in and how retailers are reacting to new, unanticipated desire!

Futures End is at the top, buoyed no doubt by Bleeding Cool's piece on the Futures End #0 edition. Or by retailers reading their own copies. Or by DC making the issue 100% returnable if retailers order as many copies as they did on  Justice League of America #11.

It represents, however, a return to advance reorders for DC Comics, who get the top two,  and four of the top five, with Harley Quinn showing serious sticking power. It may be worth noting, however, that Marvel have dropped the tiered increased discount promotion for the books on the chart, with Amazing Spider-Man #1.1, Cyclops #1, Miles Morales #1 and more getting their spots without the usual promotional activity (aside from a few variant covers).

Also deserving of notice is Image's launch of Nailbiter, DC's launch of Doomed, and both Marvel's Moon Knight and Loki can be seen as successes, with retailers fighting to match orders for previous issues.

And for comics already publishers…
