Marvel Offers Fear Itself Variant For Ripped Up Flashpoint Comics From DC

So I'm writing how DC won the comic book PR war at San Diego. And then I get a press release from Marvel.

In which they are to offer retailers a limited variant of Fear Itself #6 with a cover by Ed McGuinness. And all retailers have to do is… return the covers of fifty first print Flashpoint spinoff titles published by DC Comics.

And those who do will also be able to buy further Marvel comics at discount.

The first time Marvel tried this, the excuse was given that retailers had to order multiples of DC comics to get the Blackest Night rings. Odds are they will use the same reason over the Flashpoint badges/pins. Even though not all the books were pin-associated.

And while some retailers who did over order will gratefully receive this offer, some of these books haven't even had their second issue and the final demand by customers is yet to be measured.

Of course you realise, this means war. Here are the list of comics covers that Marvel will accept. First prints only.
