NYCC Vs Bed Bugs

The nasty little buggers have been infesting Manhattan of late. And with the NYCC and NY Anime Con landing together this week, with all the cosplay they bring with it, look for some scratchy Stormtroopers, sore Slave Leias and bleeding Boba Fetts.

So what can you do to avoid being eaten alive at the show?

Well, keeping your bags off the floor is a good one. Unpack that suitcase on arrival and hang everything up, rather than living out of it.

Have a look around you, they are large enough to see. Under the mattress, in the seams, around the bed frame. Check the walls for peeling paint and cracks. Also look out for any… and I can't believe I'm writing this… blood tinged droppings.

Use antisceptic soap for bites, and soothing cream for the itching. And when returning home, make sure everything gets washed. Probably including that suitcase…
