Speculator Corner: Image First Issues – Infinite Vacation, Echoes And Who Is Jake Ellis
Image Comics gained a reputation last year for publishing a number of series that caught the comic book market by surprise. Morning Glories, Skullkickers, 27, the question has always been, what's next?
Well, Infinite Vacation #1. Already tipped by Bleeding Cool, it looks like retailers did not learn the lessons from Nick's last comic, Morning Glories. This hitch-hiker's-guide-to-parallel-universes sold out and has given the aftermarket a healthy nudge. This $3.50 comic was selling for over $23 a week ago but most sales now settling in around the $8 mark.
So what other Image books might possibly be of interest in this fashion?
Echoes #1 is a Top Cow creator-owned book that has been rather well received and, aside from this one off $15 dollar sale, can mostly be found for below cover price.
And then there's Who Is Jake Ellis #1. Sold out, but current selling for just under cover price. Not many copies have made it to sale though, with people trying to sell copy for $7 on eBay. Has serious potential, if anyone can find a copy…
And coming up in February… could it be the turn of Jon & Eric Hoeber/Werther Dell'Edra/Arianna Florean's The Mission?
