The New Batman From Snyder And Capullo Tops Advance Reorders

Greetings from the coal face of the direct comics market. Where retailers try to increase their orders of certain comics ahead of sale. Where supply and demand and most accurately reflected, where you can see which books are hot, where new orders are coming in and how retailers are reacting to new, unanticipated desire!

The new Batman's proper debut in Batman #41 has seen retailers rush to up orders ahead of publication. Chrononauts has used a late-announced variant cover to get a similar bump and Bryan Hitch returning to the Justice League has also excited retailers. And retailers have also seemed to suddenly realised that, as Bleeding Cool told you, the last trade paperback of Fables is actually the last issue of Fables, an original graphic novel to end the series… as as a result, likely to top the graphic novel charts that month! Almost everything else is Secret Wars, with notable interruptions from Star Wars, Starfire, Red Hood/Arsenal, Howard The Duck and Saga. Because, yes, retailers still haven't worked out how to order Saga ahead properly…
