Tuesday Runaround – The Smell Of iPiracy

AppWatch: Pirated Grant Morrison DC Comics used by Gizmodo to review the two main non-DRM comic readers on the Apple iPad, Comic Zeal and Comic Reader Mobi.

The big issue with all these comic readers is that the 10-inch iPad screen actually isn't quite big enough to comfortably read comic book dialogue bubbles off of. If it were only 20% larger, things would be fine.

WareWatch: Fancy having a wander around Chris Ware's house? You can! As part of the Revealing Ridgeland: Hidden Gems in East Oak Park, from 10am to 3pm this Saturday, you can walk round min nineteeth century houses including that of Chris Ware, "whose collection of antique cartoon, toy, music, movie memorabilia will be of interest to collectors". Yeah it will. Anyone fancy going, call (708) 848-6755 or email oprfhistorymatters@sbcglobal.net.

CrossedWatch: These are being given away at the massive Avatar booth at this year's C2E2, to accompany the release of the massive Crossed tome.

ValiantWatch: Mike Richardson and Jim Shooter will launch their new Gold Key Comics line at C2E2 this weekend.

BostonWatch: Forget San Diego, New York or Chicago – Boston is the convention to go to, apparently. Well, according to the Boston Phoenix that is. Funny that.

SmellWatch: Top Cow is launching their own Withcblade fragrance at C2E2 with a donation to the ACTOR fund.

Witchblade (Antediluvian, sacred metal, glowing red musk, blessed frankincense, antiqued amber), Witchblade-bearer Sara Pezzini (Hint of leather and an understated vintage musk layered over the scent of lightly perspiring, honey-dusted skin), Detective Patrick Gleason (A classic men's cologne splashed over a leather trench coat with a hint of gunshot residue) and the Curator (Mysterious herbs and ancient resins)

AdobeWatch: Thank you Adobe for your release of CS5 and the tagline "eye bleeding cool features" which has buggered up any vanity searchin I was trying to do last night.
