REVIEW: Black Panther And The Agents Of Wakanda #4 — "The Kind Of Science Adventure That You've Been Waiting For"
Marvel Comics, creative team: Jim Zub, Lan Medina, Craig Yeung, Marcio Menyz, Erick Arciniega, Joe Sabino
Here we go, this is the kind of science adventure that you've been waiting for. In the words of Stefon, this issue has everything: sex with planets, dream sequences, great action sequences, genocide, award ceremonies! There is a mystery on earth's only natural satellite and the solution is much different than anyone expects. New recruit Mockingbird gets a chance to shine, and we find out that Gorilla-Man's fantasies are mean to him. Jim Zub's script packs a lot of interesting things into this very creative issue that leans heavily on continuity in a way that's still accessible to newer readers. The art from Medina, Yeung, Menyz, Arcienega and Sabino takes elements that would have gotten gross in other books and handled it subtly, while sensibly turning down what could have been very hentai vibes on a smarter Black Mercy-styled threat. This book has a Tom Strong meets Agents of SHIELD vibe, but not in a derivative way, so it's a real page turner. RATING: BUY.
