Friday Morning Runaround – The Nose Knows

LondonWatch: Okay, so it's not quite the glamourous prize to me as it will be to some readers. But Kmart are running an Iron Man 2 Photo competition with a prize to win a trip to London, and visit the Captain America movie set.

PornWatch: Dazzled by the detail on the Batman XXX: A Porn Parody trailer but really not interested in buying porn? Apparently one of the DVD extras will be the ability to watch a thirty minute version with all the sex scenes removed….

NoseWatch: Nineteen years ago, Neil Gaiman, Pete Hogan, Grant Morrison, Richard Curtis and many others created the Utterly Utterly Merry Comic Relief Comic to coincide with the UK's Comic Relief Red Nose Day telethon. This morning I'm meeting with Comic Relief representatives to discuss the possibility of doing a new one for next year's Red Nose Day, twenty years after the original… so apologies for a lower post rate today but it should all be for a good cause.

VendingMachineWatch: Take one cigarette vending machine. Take out the cigarettes. Fill them with mini-graphic novels, priced at 4 Euros each. Sell them to kids! This is a new distribution method for comics by Hamburg writers and artists being trialled around the German city.

AnnieWatch: The eighty-five year old comic strip Annie will finally be put out of its misery on June 3rd. The sun'll come out on June 4th, apparently.

Game2ComicWatch: DC Comics will produced a comic series based on the IO Interactive game Kane And Lynch. Written by Ian Edginton and drawn by Wasteland's Chris Mitten, the book will come out in August.

TVWatch: No Ordinary Heroes, a new TV series starring Michael Chiklis, about a family granted super abilities, has been picked up by ABC. I ran a review of the script here…
