Getting Acquainted with Jungle Girls
Are you looking to grow your Jungle Girl comic book collection, but don't want to spend a fortune? Tonight's Heritage Auction Sunday Night Auction has a few that won't break the bank! Starting with this perfect Jumbo Comics #88 from Fiction House. Featuring a dynamic Sheena, Queen of the Jungle cover, the viewer's eye is pulled down as Sheena attacks elephant poachers. The colors and bright and vivid, showing no sign of color fading. At a CGC Universale blue label 6.0 with cream to off white pages, this book presents extremely well. The last time a CGC blue label 6.0 was sold was in 2016 for $74, so this book has seen a slow price increase.
Next, take a ride with Rulah Jungle Goddess #27 from Fox Features Syndicate. At a CGC Universal blue 6.0 with off white pages, this book also presents nicely. Not only is this a Jungle Girl cover, but it's also a Bondage Cover as well. This is also the last issue in the series, making it an interesting key to own. Per GPA there is no other 6.0 on consensus, but a CGC blue label 5.5 sold for $322 in 2015.
Want more Rulah in your collection? Don't miss this All Top Comics #14 CGC Universal blue 3.5 with off white to white pages. Featuring the raven-haired beauty on the cover, this book also has the Phantom Lady inside as well. While GPA does not have another 3.5 on their books, a CGC blue label 3.0 sold for $155 in 2007 — and the bidding on this copy is already over $200. All three of these books are affordable Jungle Girl Golden Age comics and make for a good starter collection for not a lot of money.
