Steam Wars: Strike Leader Preview For Free Comic Book Day 2017

 Steam Wars is a comic book franchise created by Fred Perry that seeks to retell the adventures of Star Wars in a more steampunk setting. So we have an evil empire, the Hegemonic Crux, oppressing a planet lead by Lord Baron. A resistance trying to stop him lead by the Duchess Imoen, with a few key members such as bounty hunter Hansel Lowe and his furry bear companion, Smokey. And an order of knights known as Quantum Dragoons, with one Beauregard "Bo" Baron, who uses powers similar to Lord Baron.

But then it goes on its own sweet journey. The latest book for 2017 by Joe Wright looks at the fighter pilots of the Steam Wars universe. And yes, just as the Star Wars dogfights were taken from World War II fights, now that journey has been reversed.

The Free Realms are crumbling under the Crimson Empire's mighty sky dreadnoughts. A small band of Free pilots have gathered for a desperate mission, but their bravery and skill is not enough.  They must use an untested, secretly developed fighter to strike back against these terrifying ironclads, or be crushed forever by tyranny.
