Strikeforce #9 Will Be Going Out With a New Cover, New Ending
We mentioned this morning that Marvel Comics were to cancel the solicited Strikeforce #10, which would have tied in with the Empyre event. Instead the black-ops Avengers team will finish with August's ninth issue, with co-creator Tini Howard tweeting "This made sense to me – our final issue was an Empyre tie in, and by the time things picked back up, #10 wouldn't have been completed in time for the event. But damn, it was a good one. Thanks for trusting me."
Bleeding Cool now understands that Strikeforce #9 has a new cover (above) by Dan Mora and a few extra pages intended to cleanly wrap upTini Howard and German Peralta's run on the series, rather than leave it on a cliffhanger. Also, I am led to expect there is a newly added easter egg that may get speculators interest up when a different comic drops later this summer… that's all I know, but as ever #itsallconnected. This was the planned cover for issue 10, and its solicitation.
