Marvel Comics Cancels Strikeforce in August With #9
Marvel's Avengers spinoff Strikeforce was a title affected by Marvel's shutdown earlier in the year, but had its eighth issue rescheduled this week. The ninth issue is scheduled for August the 5th. But that will be it. Marvel will be ending the series and cancelling its solicited Strikeforce #10, originally intended to be an Empyre tie-in and published in June. But not any more. Co-creator Tini Howard tweeted in response "This made sense to me – our final issue was an Empyre tie in, and by the time things picked back up, #10 wouldn't have been completed in time for the event. But damn, it was a good one. Thanks for trusting me."
