Preview: Will Suicide Squad #50 Finally Expose the Existence of Task Force X to the World?
This week sees the publication of the final Suicide Squad issue, the DC Comics series that was launched by Rob Williams and Jim Lee two-and-a-half years ago alongside the movie. Rob Williams stayed writing on all the way through, and Jim Lee returns for the cover of the final issue 50.
While Francesco Mattina's variant cover…
…possibly takes some inspiration from this Killer Croc concept art for Arkham Origins.
But anyway. Suicide Squad. The comic did some ridiculous things (with people constantly getting possessed) and has been the only DC Comics series to portray Donald Trump as President of the USA. But now the comic comes to an end–you know, before being relaunched by Brian Azzarello with a certain scarlet speedster leading the team.
With #50, it's possession time again…with the attack of the 50-foot boss in a game of Hold The Flag. And the attempt to expose the existence of Suicide Squad to the world…can't someone just leak it to Lois Lane? She'll publish anything.
