The Back-Order List 6/17/20: Hawkman, Crow, Ludocrats & A Man Among Ye

Every week your Local Comic Book Shop, hopefully, gets in a weekly assortment of comics, trades, posters, action figures, and other goodies from Diamond.  Now some of these goodies sell out fast from your LCBS, so Tuesday and Wednesday LCBS retailers get on the phone (more often the computer) and let Diamond know they need more.  Or sometimes they go to unpack those Diamond boxes and find items missing, or too damaged to sell (it does happen), retailers have to let Diamond know. However, the phrase no retailer likes to hear when they go to report those shortages, damages, or reorders is: "Sorry that item is on back-order," which means there are no more copies to send out from the Diamond warehouse. So it's time for another edition of the Back-Order List so we can see what titles have officially gone on back-order.

The Back-Order List Has Variety, Starting With Image

Boom Brings Wynd and Power Rangers / TMNT

Boom continues the trend with Wynd #1 having both covers no longer available to get from Diamond. Also, Wynd ends up having a second print coming soon.

Two covers from MMPR / TMNT #5 also are no longer available, the harder to get 1-In-25 Variant Cover and the FOC Variant Cover.

Dynamite & IDW Also Join The Back-Order List

IDW ends up on the list with both covers for Crow Lethe #2 following #1 from a few months ago in being long gone from Diamond (with the main cover featuring Peach Momoko artwork).  Also, one cover, not surprisingly a Derrick Chew cover of Purgatori, for Dynamite's Red Sonja Age of Chaos #5 is no longer available either.

With Marvel Again MIA, DC Still Dominates

So as June winds down, and DC's time at Diamond draws to a close, DC books still go on the Back-Order List. Hawkman #24 sees both covers gone, Nightwing Annual #3 not having enough copies to go around, and the Variant Cover for The Green Lantern Season 2 #4 is no longer available from Diamond.

Finally, DC's huge mega Event Crossover sees its first issue sell big, and have four of the variant covers fall on the Back-Order List, with LCBS no longer able to get any copies of these Variant Covers from Diamond anymore.  Dark Nights Death Metal #1's Artgerm Wonder Woman cover, David Finch's #1 Trinity Variant, the Midnight Party Variant, and the Black Blank Variant Cover, all on the Back-Order List.

So for those who can go to your LCBS and see any of these "back-order titles," grab them if you want them because Diamond won't be sending any more copies of these books. Though if your LCBS has set up new accounts with Lunar Distribution or UCS Comic Distributors, then maybe they can get some of the DC books, but not likely.
