That Texas Blood and Ludocrats #2 Get Second Printings

The third second printing shout out in two days sees Ludocrats #2 by Kieron Gillen, Jim Rossignol, Jeff Stokely, Tamra Bonvillain and That Texas Blood #1 by Chris Condon and Jacob Phillips, both from Image Comics both going back to the printing mill for seconds, with publication scheduled for July the 22nd. It's a sign, to some degree, that the grinding of the machine is beginning to return to normal. Comic books sell, sell well, sell out, and a second printing can be part of the planned promotional process as well, sometimes using the same guts of a comic book as created for the first printing, set to one side, and then a new cover with new indicia slapped on the top. Publishers policy will vary of course. Here are the solicitations for the two new printings.

SERIES PREMIERE

CRIMINAL colorist and first time solo artist JACOB PHILLIPS and writer CHRIS CONDON break onto the scene with a brand-new ongoing series! Like Paris, Texas gut-punched by No Country for Old Men, this mature neo-Western crime series kicks off when the search for a casserole dish leads to a dark and tense confrontation on Sheriff Joe Bob Coates' 70th birthday.

"CHRIS & JACOB pull off something remarkable here. A vivid and bright story that nails a thorough sense of foreboding and darkness. A shocking amount of talent for a duo so fresh to comics!" -CHIP ZDARSKY (SEX CRIMINALS, Daredevil) SRP: $3.99
